User Friendly 7” Touch Screen to View Live Data, DTCs, Hot Services ABS Bleed, Oil Reset, EPB, SAS

Got this to program key fob for a 2015 Silverado,and it worked great. The learning curve is a little hard but it is a very good code reader.

AutelSale customer service is excellent and has quick communication. They responded to my pre-purchase questions and prompt follow up after purchase to make sure everything is OK. Autel MaxiCOM MK808BT is a Make in China 1 Year free software update and required to register your device with Autel ID before using it. You can continue to use MaxiCOM MK808BT with the last update software after one year period expire but you might want to consider upgrading every 2 or 3 years to service newer vehicles.

this scan tool is affordable and easy to use and understand. The Bluetooth capability is great - just bought a used car and checked it out with the maxicom before and during the test drive.

This scanner is the AMAZING!

The brake bleed feature worked great and will save time and money. The scanner also covers all the main service functions such as EPB, TPMS, Oil reset, SAS, Suspension, Throttle, Injector, brake bleed, airbag reset and so much more. Having the ability to order parts as you are working was one feature my husband really liked. Overall, this is a well-designed scan tool and we are completely happy with it.

The scanner has hand grips on both sides making it comfortable to hold or use the stand to keep it stationary for viewing. The hard case keeps the tablet, OBD2, cords, power plug and manual all safe in one place. The manual is detailed and easy to follow.

This Autel scanner is more than just a code reader. It is a full-size 7 inch tablet that is easy to read and use. The scanner was easy to sync to all three of our vehicles. The vehicles we tested the scanner on were a GMC 2004, Chevrolet 2014 and Pontiac 2003. We found the OBD2 Bluetooth connection works flawlessly on our three vehicles. The icons are all large easy to see and to press without needing to keep going back from pressing the wrong icon. There is a support App connecting you to other customers with similar problems and solutions.

This scanner is amazing! It programs remotes and keys! It shows you EVERYTHING and easily looks online for explanations when needed. It also shows the actual reasons for codes. This is the best diagnostic tool I've ever purchased and I've tried 5 different ones at least. With 3 vehicles in our household it already paid for itself because it saved the cost of programming immo keys and remotes at the dealer and I was able to easily diagnose and remedy the ABS light and Airbag light. If you need to be able to program remotes this is the best option! It feels substantial, it has a stand built in to the back and it is incredibly easy to use with the quality touchscreen and Android operating system. I am incredibly happy with this purchase!

I bought the MK808BT and the MP808K because both devices made a very similar impression on me and no one could explain the differences to me in such a way that I could have made up my mind.

I was able to test both devices as extensively as I was able to and have been in very good contact with the dealer. For this extra star, it was always answered quickly and purposefully.

My main reasons for buying were:
1. Oil service reset for all car brands
2. Put the parking brake in the service position for all car brands
3. Battery service
4. Display actual values ​​from various control units.
5. Activate assemblies via control units.

And all for the most common manufacturers and models. And at a moderate price, also in terms of updates.

To the devices:

Both devices are roughly workshop tablets that can be connected to the Internet via WiFi. Software is already installed and no additional software can be installed because there is no Playstore.

The main differences between the devices are their interfaces to the car and the resulting possibilities.

The MK808BT

is equipped with Bluetooth and pairs immediately with the tablet (after the Bluetooth adapter has been connected to the car).
The classic OBD2 or EOBD functions are then available, via which engine-relevant data (diesel from 2004, petrol from 2001) can be read out and displayed. This data can then be displayed in different diagrams.
In older vehicles, I was not able to read out any engine-relevant data, but the ABS and airbag control units.
In addition, OBD errors (engine or emissions-related errors) can be read and deleted.
If you then go into the vehicle-specific diagnosis, you can deal with data, errors, service functions, and actual values ​​of the various control units. You can also delete errors here.
There are also different service functions, such as parking brake service, reset oil service ... etc.

Actual values ​​show switch and potentiometer positions and sensor values.

It may be that the desired function is not supported. That always depends on the vehicle and the equipment.

When you end the diagnosis, you are visually and acoustically advised not to forget the Bluetooth adapter.

The Bluetooth works quite well so far, but I don't want to hide the fact that my test device lost the connection once and only re-established the connection after restarting the tablet.

The MP808K

supports all functions of the MK808BT.

However, there are still a few, which explain the price.

But first, it should be said that the adapter set, as far as I have found out, is for vans or commercial vehicles.

The most important additional functions that the MP808K fulfills include actuator diagnosis and control unit adaptation.

Individual components can be activated and switched on or off via the final control diagnosis.
For example, the actual value display can be used to control the ventilation system switches and the fans can be controlled using the actuator diagnosis.
It's pretty interesting what can be controlled in some vehicles.

The control unit adjustment is of course also very interesting, so you can change the speed limit on vans (I haven't been able to test it on powerful cars). Or change comfort features such as tip indicators from 3 repetitions to 5 or 7, just to mention 2 things.

Since I'm only a hobby mechanic, the price and the update costs were relevant factor for me. So far, I was set to a few vehicles or manufacturers, as I used simple 100 € devices (for individual manufacturers). Now I can easily reset the service for almost all vehicles, change brakes and batteries or find defective electrics. And that too on a big screen and direct access to the Internet if I don't have the information about errors.
