This is guide to program BMW X5 E70 M57 FRM module with Autel Elite II Pro Diagnostic Tool. The procedure can be used for same part number.

009CC6: FRM(Footwell module), passenger side mirror heating faulty.



FRM Programming Procedure
Programming>> OK
Attention! Please select the way for entering programming function. Improper operation may cause unrecoverable errors to the vehicle!
Replacement
Select this way when the plan for programming or coding needs to be recalculated.
Use existing entry:
1. Select this way when the control unit is not replaced to save entering time.
2. Select this way when the control unit has already been programmed or coding failed.
F1: New entry.
F2: Use existing entry.
F1 >> OK
In the next step, the Autel Elite2 Pro will communicate with all control units and figure out their Programming status. Process may last for several minutes.
Press OK.
Were control units replaced?
Before the vehicle programming is started, ensure that the basic requirements for trouble-free programming are met.
If control units have been replaced, select the replaced control units in the dialog box displayed below. Or click in the control unit tree on the replaced control
units, and then select "Replacement follow-up" there.
Yes >> OK





Programming/coding >> Selective update >> Selected FRM(Footwell module), OK >> Execute measures plan

Programming on the Footwell Module FRM should be chosen with caution! Due to the hardware defects of the FRM modules, the probability of programming failure with these modules is extremely high. Once the programming fails, it will cause irreversible damage to the module, which will cause abnormalities on the vehicle operation. So please be careful to choose execution of the programming function for the FRM modules. Otherwise, related damages to the vehicle will be assumed by the user.
Press "Yes".

Note:
Now ensure the diagnostic tool is connected to the Internet.
Press OK.
Download completed.
Press OK to continue the session after the vehicle is connected.

Note:
1. Turn off engine.
2. Switch on terminal 15(ignition).

Note:
The vehicle battery voltage is detected lower than 13V.
When the voltage is lower than 13V, it is risky to perform the programming or coding function;
It is recommended to connect a voltage regulator or charging device to ensure that the vehicle battery voltage remains steady above 13V before performing the
programming or coding function;
Press OK to continue.





Wait the FRM programming to process until 100% .
Turn the ignition off, and then remove the key with remote control from key slot(if equipped). Then wait for 10s. Insert a key with remote control in key slot(if
equipped) and turn the ignition on.
Insert a key with remote control in key slot(f equipped) and turn the ignition on.
All doors, windows, and the soft top for the convertible must be closed. Then the windows will be opened and closed.
Caution - danger of injury!
Anti-trap mechanism is inactive during initialization.
Selected the "Status", press OK.
Initializing front power window regulator, FRM(Footwell Module) is running.
Clear fault code memory..
Turn the ignition off, and then remove the key with remote control from key slot(f equipped). Then wait for 10s. Insert a key with remote control in key slot(f
equipped) and turn the ignition on.
Insert a key with remote control in key slot(if equipped) and turn the ignition on.
Programming FRM success.
