It's a perfect charger so far

There are a lot of EV home chargers out there, so I did my homework before I ultimately decided on this one, and in my opinion, it's the greatest one on the market.

The charger works great with one caveat. It is a 40 amp charger out of the box and works that way until you install the app. Then the maximum is set to 32 amps. There is a way to restore it to 40 amps but you have to find online or from Autel. They throttle it to 32 amps for your safety but it doesn't make sense to do so.

Autel shines in customer service. They answered my questions pre and post purchase. It is difficult to get support from most companies but not Autel.

Very excited to get Autel MaxiCharger for my Chevy Bolt EV, I just purchased a few weeks ago, plugged into my Bolt and works great so far. The 40 amp 14-50 updated version I purchased had no problems with the tight plug issue as other have stated. I also purchased a MUSTART Level 2 Portable EV Charger for 2years. Autel MaxiCharger is much better setup for me than before . I'll update after a few months of usage if I experience any problems.

The unit is well constructed with the handle and cord having a good feel to them. The app is decent but I don't really need it.

Way nicer than expected!

I've never heard of Autel before shopping for a level 2 chargers. They have been around a long time but recently introduced home level 2 chargers. The specs were phenomenal for the price. The charger had everything I was looking for and just happened to be on a Prime Day sale.

Amazing Support Before and After Purchase

i had another charger that after it charged the car to 100% it drained the 12 volt battery so i coulednot start the car ,i replaced it with the outel and no more problems
 

When I started my research online for chargers, I had to really comb through a lot of info to find something that struck the balance between quality and value. Thankfully, I chose correctly! I love the simplicity, the power, and the sleek design of this. It was really easy to set up, which given my schedule, was really beneficial. Great product! Great purchase!

I bought the EV charger for my new car. The App interface of Autel is pretty good as it can show the charging progress clearly on my smartphone. Charging Speed depends on the output of the home outlet so that a pre-installed NEMA 14-50R outlet with high voltage is preferred. For my car, with the high voltage output, it could provide 10% per hour so that majority of the charging session could be finished within only 5-6 hours during night time. The long charging cable (25-feet) is very useful as no matter head-in or back-in, the car can always be charged easily. The only reminder is about the wall mounting. If your NEMA 14-50R outlet is very close to other devices or switch box, you may need to figure out the ideal location of the charging devices, an 8"x14" available space near your outlet with wall stud could be the best location.

Wow!! Yes wow, I was blown away by the quality of this product and how great it looks. I must say it’s definitely worth the investment. Customer service, was extremely helpful and provided exceptional service. Now I just need to get my RFID card and I’ll be all set. I highly recommend this charger in using it with a Kia EV6 and I’m getting a solid 9KWh charging my car from 20% -90% in 7hours.

Overall i've been recommending this unit to anyone who looks to have the ultimate charging station at home without breaking the bank, Autel definitely hit a homerun with this one.

They need to make it 70AMP charging for same price point as this. Allow me to fast charge in less than 30 minutes at home.
This will make more people want this. Help people get electricity cheaper at home.

This is a very nice looking charger. Sturdy, feels great. Bought it for my new Porsche. I've used Autel in the past for basic diagnostics and battery testing so I was familiar with the brand as they always come out with reliable products and have good support here in the US. Shipping was normal, nothing unexpected and was delivered on-time. Already got it up and running and works great so far. I also didn't realize they have an app you can use to control the charger so that's definitely a bonus. Overall seems to be a great charger.
