Don't pay someone else when you can invest in yourself. Consumers need to check vehicle coverage on Autel's website. You'll see for yourself how much you can do per application. One year of updates is included but every year it's $125. Unlike other tools, you can skip a few years and come back for an update. Maxifix is a joke. This tool won't tell you the answer. It takes experience and I guess research elsewhere to interpret the features and data.

The MS906BT is a robust diagnostic tool that more than serves my personal mechanical needs. I primarily use it to service 2 high-performance Mercedes Benzes and a Dodge Ram pickup. This unit has been a real godsend, especially for the 2 Mercedes, in particular, since these vehicles demand highly sensitive diagnostics to maintain properly. Already, the MS906BT has literally paid for itself since I was able to avoid taking the cars to the dealership by performing several repairs and scheduled maintenance myself.

It does so much on some cars and it doesn't do what I want it to do on some other cars, but overall it's a really powerful diagnostic tool

Great scan tool. I have done a lot of cylinder balance tests on duramax engines and gas engines so far. I have been able to fix those problems really quick with this scan tool. It has a lot of great functions and tests for diagnostic purposes.

Great machine, I'm not a professional mechanic but have learned to use a lot of the diagnostic tools and this is the best cross for price and usability. The device is fast which was one of my main worries, and can do a lot of different test. Very happy with this purchase
