Autel PowerScan PS100 Generation Description:

Autel PowerScan PS100 is the best electrical tester for reducing diagnostic time in all 6- to 30-volt vehicle electrical systems. After a simple hook-up of the tool to the vehicle's battery, you can:

1. Test for continuity with its built-in auxiliary ground lead.
2. Determine at a glance if a circuit is positive, negative, or open without having to reconnect clips from one battery pole to another.
3. Test for poor ground contacts instantly without performing voltage drop tests. The tool is also short-circuit protected; its internal circuit breaker will trip if it becomes overloaded.
4. By depressing the power switch, conduct a positive or negative battery current to the probe tip for testing the function of an electrical component without the use of jumper wires.
5. Follow and locate short circuits without wasting fuses. The tool's long cable allows you to test along the entire length of the vehicle without constantly searching for suitable vehicle grounds.

Not only does the Autel vehicle circuit diagnostic tester PS100 has the power to complete every type of circuit test for vehicles, but it can also provide users with the most rapid and accurate testing outcomes. After numerous testing and verifications, we make sure that Autel PS100 can provide ready-to-read data without any delay. The LCD display will read the DC voltage with a resolution of 0.1 volts, even when you test low voltage, the numeral it reads can still be accurate.

What's more, it has a built-in scope function, and you can use Autel circuit tester PS100 to probe sensors and get a visual scope pattern on the probe. With the advanced processor, waveforms like cam sensors, crank sensors, and fuel injectors can be captured easily.



Circuit Breaker to Protect Overloaded

You are able to conduct a full battery current to the tip of the probe when you press the switch forward.
The built-in circuit breaker is a nice feature to protect users, the test tool, as well as the vehicle components, ensures their safety. Simply connect the extra ground lead to the tool and press the power switch forward and it will trip the circuit breaker. This will prevent power from going to the tip but still allow you to use the tool as a multimeter. When you are away from vehicle components, simply press the reset button and you are ready to power up again.

PS100 has a headlight, which helps the technicians and mechanics to illuminate dark environments for better diagnoses. Besides, Autel circuit tester PS100 also has a tone feature to make different sounds for mechanics to distinguish testing results in dark area.



DC Voltage

While the circuit testing tool is in this mode, contacts the probe tip to a circuit, then the LCD display will read the DC voltage with a resolution of 0.1 volts.
DC Mode is the mode that the PS100 can supply battery power or ground by pressing the rocker switch.
DC mode is for testing DC (direct current) voltages.
Voltage testing is as easy as contacting the probe tip to a circuit and reading the display.

AC Voltage

While the circuit tester tool is in this mode, contacts the probe tip to a circuit, then the LCD display will read the Max. voltage, the Min. voltage, frequency, and duty cycle.
You can adjust the sampling frequency by pressing the Up/Down Button.
The auxiliary ground wire is connected to one end of the circuit under test, and the probe contacts the other end of the test circuit.
The LCD will display the max and mini voltage value, and display the signal waveform in real-time

PS100 Power Circuit Probe Kit Resistance Testing Mode

The probe contacts one end of the measured resistance, and the auxiliary ground lead is connected to the other end of the measured resistance. The LCD will display the resistance between the tip and auxiliary ground lead. Can be used as a continuity test.

NOTE: When the resistance value is less than 30Ω, the instrument buzzer will alarm and the green LED will light.

Tone On/Off

While the tester is in this mode, just do a quick press of the mode button to toggle the tone on or off. While quickly pressing (a quick press and release) the mode button, if a short high beep is heard, this means the audio tone is turned on. If a short low beep is heard, the audio tone is turned off.
This function is invaluable when working in bright areas where LED illumination alone is not sufficient. The audio feature may be disengaged when desired, such as for applications where the tool will be connected to circuits for long periods of time and the audio could become annoying.

PS100 Circuit Tester Can Output Electrodes

Contact the probe tip to the bulb positive terminal, and connect the auxiliary ground lead to the bulb negative terminal.
Press up to output positive electricity, and press down to output negative electricity.
The screen will display the forward voltage drop, which indicates forward bias.
If swapping the probe tip with auxiliary ground lead, the screen will not display voltage, which indicates reverse bias.
